I wrote this article way back year 2000 and published in Rizalians magazine and DMC Pulse in 2002 Vol. 1. I hope you will find this article very useful as i do…

Some tips on how to have enthusiasm and to avoid boredom in STUDYING

1. Learn to love your chosen course, know that God is guiding you. We know that our talents and capabilities are given to us by God. Have a true attitude towards learning.

2. Make yourself happy. Always think positive in order to make your work successful. Always think that task and assignments shold be accomplished in due time without exerting too much effort.

3. Always say things in a positive and nice way. Have honesty within you and be frank. Then, you will have a clean heart. Make yourself at ease at all time. With that, you can face anybody without fear.

4. "DO NOT WAIT FOR TOMORROW WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR TODAY". So let’s not waste out time and effort. Always have a right plan and budget of time. Devote yourself and time in studying, avoid idle conversation that will lead into quarrel.

5. Establish intimacy among students. Have friendly conversation and select topics that can give lessons. Try to abstain from argument with your peers. Accept good and friendly suggestions.

6. Give or have a high regards to your school administrators. They are there to help you grow and to make yourself a well-rounded person.

7. Have time for fun, picnics and field trips. Having social development may help yourself more enhanced. Give yourself a chance to enjoy sometimes. But select your activities and kind of person to mingle with.

8. Research and read good books, magazines and any other printed materials for you to get additional knowledge, lessons, information, vocabularies and improvement in speaking and writing, in gathering facts and current events.

9. Be thankful enough for every failure you’ve encountered, for we learn from our mistakes. Accept failures and mistakes. It might be a good door for you to improve and without knowing, a reward might come on your way. Make your skills and hidden talents useful. Self-reliance contributes much in every challenge that you can make it by yourself.

10. Dare to forget everything but not God and be sure to put God first in all your plans. With God’s will, everything will be possible, and as we believe in Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing is impossible".

Have a nice day!
