Creative Digital Arts Club

The DMC College of Computer Studies is aiming to become the Center for Animation in our region. Recently, I was instructed to create a club for aspiring animators and artists in the college. We really had a hard time thinking of what will be the name of our org until we come-up with the name Creative Digital Arts Club (CDAC). The next thing I did after formulating the policy for CDAC is to design an official logo that bears the trademark of our club. My design was so simple. It's an eye that envision a bright future in animation in our region.

After designing an official logo, I created a poster and posted it in every corner of DMC inviting all aspiring animators, sketch artists, and voice actors to become a pioneer member of this club. We are positive that we will succeed in fulfilling our vision.

Miss DMC 2009: Swim wear category

Last August 21-23, 2009 the DMC College Foundation celebrated its 35th Founding Anniversary. One of the highlights of the said celebration is the search for Miss DMC 2009. The videos above were played before each category starting from the Egyptian attire (video 1), school uniform, fun wear, swimsuit (video 2), and evening gown.

My salute to the stage director of this pageant -- Sir Q. As anticipated by thousands of spectators, the show is very fabulous!

Lastly, a very beautiful young lady from the college of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management (HRiM) -- Miss Niza Nova Usin, bagged the Miss DMC 2009 crown.

A Pinoy Interviewed at CISCO

So be proud to be a Filipino....

The HR Manager at CISCO was given the task of hiring an individual to fill a job opening. After sorting through a stack of resumes he found four people who were equally qualified. .. An American,a Russian, an Australian and a Filipino. He decided to call the four in and ask them only one question. Their answer would determine which of them would get the job. The day came and as the four sat around the conference room table the interviewer asked, "What is the fastest thing you know of?" Acknowledging Dave, the American on his right, the man replied, "A THOUGHT". It just pops into your head. There's no warning that it's on the way; it's just there. A thought is the fastest thing I know of." "That's very good!" replied the interviewer.

And now you sir?" he asked Vladimir , the Russian. "Hmm.... let me see. A blink! It comes and goes and you don't know that it ever happened. A BLINK is the fastest thing I know of." "Excellent!" said the interviewer. "The blink of an eye, that's a very popular cliche for speed."

He then turned to George, the Australian who was contemplating his reply. Well, out at my dad's ranch, you step out of the house and on the wall there's a light switch. When you flip that switch, way out across the pasture the light in the barn comes on. Yep, TURNING ON A LIGHT is the fastest thing I can think of." The interviewer was very impressed with the third answer and thought he had found his man. "It's hard to beat the speed of light" he said.

Turning to Eleuterio, the Filipino, the fourth and final man, the interviewer posed the same question. Eleuterio replied, " Apter herring da 3 frevyos ansers sirrr, et's obyus to me dat the fastest thang known is " DIARRHEA " WHAT!?" said the interviewer, stunned by the response. "O I can expleyn serrr ." said Eleuterio . " YOU SEE SERR, DA other day I wasn't Peeeling so good and I run soo fast to the CR, but, before I could THINK, BLINK, or TURN ON THE LIGHT, sus ginoo, I already had a big shyet in my pants. Eleuterio is now the new "Senior Lead Engineer" at CISCO.
